What's New at WaterFront Street

Tuesday, February 1 st , marks the start of the Luna New Year. With the new year comes the animal that will rule and this year it’s the Tiger. So it only seems right to talk about the much loved Tiger Eye Stone. This is a beautiful stone with a luminescent that creates a color shift as light passes over it like the sparkle in cat’s eyes. Geologists call the phenomena chatoyancy   is and it is only found in a limited number of stones.  Here is a sampling for the stones I am planning to wrap in honor of the Year's Animal. I promised you a post a week and out of nowhere I had a family emergency that sent me out of town and out of touch for a week. But I am back now and with this post I am back on track. Being the god of wine and merriment you can imagine the parties that were held in honor of his birthday. When Christianity came on the scene, it was only natural that the celebrations for Christmas would have similar traits. Epiphany marked the end of the holiday season. Christian Epiphany, January 6th, is when the wise men visited the Christ Child and the baptism of Jesus are celebrated.
