Hematite Heart |
Heart’s Desire, what exactly does that mean? According to an Author named Cooper the heart is the belief that physical and spiritual beings represent the central wisdom of feelings as opposed to the head-wisdom of reason. This center is the seat of emotions; the heart being found in the center of the chest brings it to be synonymous with affection.
Modern man has used many symbols to symbolize emotions and thoughts. A cross for Christianity, a dove for peace, a butterfly for transformation, shows examples of just a few.
Once Upon a Time |
The most asked question is how the symbol of the heart came to be as it looks nothing like the actual heart. Here is what I found. If you look at the heart geometrically the heart has lines that resemble an inverted triangle. Early civilizations considered the inverted triangle as a representation of feminine power. It serves as a receptacle for pouring out and receiving love. This would be logical as the woman has always been the care giver and holder of emotions.
But in the end the most important thing to bring away from all this is that the heart is a symbol of love with a capital “L”. Whether it is for a person, an animal or a Facebook Post (lol) it is expressed by a heart. When you wear a heart it show the world that your heart is open to love and it will draw the positive energy that love can create.
