Wow! What a Ride!

We just got back from our trip to Detroit to see our new grandson Dean and Irma came to visit. In anticipation of evacuation, we spent days deciding what to pack for transport and where we could put items that were staying behind. We worked right up to the time we were told we had to leave and then moved to a secure cinder block home with hurricane shutters.
That alone was an experience with 2 cats, 2 dogs, 4 kids and 4 adults trying to stay out of each other’s way. We lost power at 9 pm Sunday so it was time for bed. The storm raged on outside as the heat rose inside. Luckily (and I don’t say that lightly) the storm was just about over by morning and we could start the clean-up. The home we were staying in got power back only to lose water for a day. Still, everyone was safe and sound.
I thank God that our home was not touched by the storm except for a flooded yard that went down enough to return home the next day. Electricity was restored to our neighborhood by 4 pm. We gladly moved home Tuesday with 2 happy cats who did not leave our side for over a week.
We are still unpacking and trying to find where we put things to keep them safe.

Meanwhile, it is time to start thinking about Christmas.

WaterFront Street Jewelry has opened our Christmas and More section and we remind you that if you are looking for something handcrafted, do not wait too long to get your order in. Unless you are ordering a completed one of a kind piece, your jewelry will be created just for you when you order it.
We can create custom pieces for you with enough notice.
If you haven’t heard we now have an Etsy store. It is listed as just WaterFrontStreet. There are some items on the store that you will not find on our site but waterfrontstreetjewelry.com will be the major shopping experience.

FREE GIFT WRAPPING IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR ALL ORDERS ON WEBSITE.

CHARITY FOR ANIMALS

Also, new to WaterFront Street Jewelry are 2 new items for sale on our Charity for Animals Page. Another is in the works just in time for Christmas. Wouldn’t one of these be a great gift for the animal lover on your list?
This simple pendant comes with or without an 18” chain. Without a chain the cost is $17.00 of which $10.20 will go to helping abandoned and abused animals.

We have already sent our first donation to Best Friends Animal Society, who is helping with the devastated animals in Texas and Florida. With your help, we hope to send much more.

half mast

If you follow us on Facebook and Instagram you probably noticed that we have posted a flag at half mast for the victims of the Las Vegas shooting. The background of our website will remain black, also, during this time of national mourning.
Our hearts and prayers go out to the families of those who have lost their homes and businesses in the horrific fires that are sweeping through Northern California.

Stay Safe,
Tom and Kathee Jones,
WaterFront Street Jewelry
